Too good to be true?

"You have no endurance, you anger too easily and you've got women troubles. Just more proof that women don't belong in a man's war."

"You know nothing about women!"

"Of course not. I'm a man!"

xD Guts! lol Berserk is a really good anime (and manga) - I'd recommend you all sample it. The English dub is actually passable too. If you're the type who prefers subs, you're really missing out! There're some suspect lines in the dub that are well worth the time. By the way, anyone else wondering how Casca got so tanned??!

I had a strangely awesome drive on Sunday afternoon. I had just got off the phone with :iconnekoflamealchemist:. I was wishing her happy birthday <3. Naturally, I was smiling as I started up teh baby BMW (as I do whenever I finish talking to Jo and whenever I'm in my car).

So anyway, I'm cruising to my friend's house, along roads that I've driven hundreds of times before. The sun was out, which might've swayed it - but as rare as that is in the UK, it isn't that unique. As I reached the crest of one hill, I was greeted by an absolutely gorgeous sight of what looked like cherry blossom rolling across the road and dancing through the air. The sun had just caught the whole scene at the most perfect angle and it was as if I had driven onto my own personal perfect moment.

I'm not particularly sure what kind of blossoms they were, but they were the most gorgeous pink colour. Anyway, maybe I'm overplaying the whole thing.. but those who know me, know I love to drive and what happened just really was the icing on the cake.

I made the rest of my journey with the biggest grin on my face and all without speeding (too much). x)

It just made me think about how things seem to be going really well right now. I am totally aware this is probably the second or third time I've had the pleasure of writing this, but ... I really can't help it. I'm happier now than I have been in a long time and I love it. Looking forward, things can only get better too!

Waarrgh.. getting addicted to poker too. It's a good thing I don't play for real money! Check out the anime Kaiji if you like your anime to have a gambling flavour. It's top notch and full of suspense.

Desert Punk is just perverted, but still pretty funny. It's like the main character is Kentaro Oe's son or something. xD Or descendant... just plain related. Except he's way worse than Kentaro ever was!

Annnd~ if you want wacky, without the overtly sexual themes of Desert Punk, Gintama is a safe bet.

I hope to have some really good news end of June, so I'll be back around then - ciao!

This year has really gone off to a great start.

Work is going well; I've also recently picked up a promotion. I've paid off most of my debts and I've got no other money concerns at all! My friends are great and my girlfriend is a real sweetie, even if she is does get a bit busy sometimes. *Ahem* xD

I also have my health, along with a full set of working limbs and two fully functional eyes. They aren't mine, but it's good to keep a spare set. ;]

If things keep up like this, I'll be able to upgrade on my baby BMW 1 Series around May (just in time for my birthday)! And, even if I can't, I already have a decent car. Right?

It's times like this I wonder how long things can keep going swell like this. Or even if I am already near my limit. Which sounds just crazy because I've got a lot of years left. Here's hopin'.

I do wonder what's next. Things have almost moved on too fast.

Hm.

Firstly; I am absolutely exhausted! I have no idea what I am doing up so late. I'm pretty fired up, though. COD4 has been a lot of fun.

Actually Guitar Hero III has been pretty good, too - but I'm looking forward to Rock Band more. It might even convince me to get an Xbox 360. I need a vocalist though. Any takers? Only one catch, you have to be sober.

Where is everyone, anyway? I'm glad :iconboonide: et al are still around. I went through some old notes today; a lot of my old dA buddies are MIA and... it makes sad, it really does. Fortunately, I've got a lot of active dA mateys, too, so it balances out.. but you never really want to give anything up. (Though, I'm dead lazy, so it happens a lot! xD)

A quick glance at 2004's Xmas related diary entry reveals an old Christmas list.. Ha!

Leo's Christmas Wishlist (2004):
* Sony Ericsson P900/P910i - Got it, loved it and left it
* Nissan Skyline R34 (GTT or GTR, not fussy!) Still haven't got it Y___Y
* Failing the above - 1x Nissan 350z w/GT Pack As above
* 1x Subaru Imprezza Sti (to be held and tortured by Skyline and 350z) Not needed anymore
* More time with Friends Got it
* More time with Family Got it
* More time with Wife and Kids (kidding!) Got it.. er.. Ah!

Funny, not much has really changed in three years. Though, what little has changed has been a bit of a heart-breaker..

Actually, this year I have almost everything I want. So, easy peasy. Did find a really neat Jin Roh Trooper figure. It costs like £80. xDDDDD I'll sneak that into the budget next year on the sly, I think. HUNK needs a desk-mate, afterall.

A trip to the Nurburgring is on the cards for next year as well - so, if anyone has been there before and would like to share some stories, please get in touch.

Um, I probably won't submit something for Christmas as usual... Sorry. xD Terrible, ne?

Well, at least I am alive. For now. Mwhaha. Or so he thinks.. wai-- who are you?? Am I talking to myself.. again?

(Merry Christmas, kids! Stay in school, don't do drugs.)

=== Update ===
Hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve and Day!

Just thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to Open Canvas with me sometime? You'll need oC1.1 and hamachi. Get in touch if you're interested. I'll pass you the network details as and when they are needed.

Thanks!

Anyway. Back to our usual programming!

I think generally, everything is okay. Well, better than okay. Everything is frickin' awesome right now. I don't really have any complaints. Well, just one. One little pang.

Anyway, I submitted. xD Then I went through scraps and cried because I can see all the junky things I turned out over the years and it makes me weep. Oh, the nostalgia!

The end.

More junk later!

Well, okay... let's do the update thang.

Ladies and gents, I am pleased to announce that I have finally replaced the venerable Graphire 1. Well, actually, it's the second time I have.

Originally, it was replaced with a Trust Tablet.. ewwage. It just made me rush out and impulsively buy a Graphire 4. Whether or not this was a good idea or more spending-on-a-whim-silliness remains to be seen.

In short, I'm tablet-equipped.

And second. I somehow managed to spill juice (peach if you must know) right onto my computer. Well, that wouldn't be so bad because my compy lives on the floor next to my desk. Except.. this time, I decided to buy a case with a fan opening right on the top.

Fear not, it's not like the fan opening takes up the whole top surface of the case. Just a tiny section towards the back. -- Still, somehow I managed to tip a glass of juice directly into the vent.

Long story short, if you ever, ever, EVARRRR spill juice onto your computer, turn if off straight away and take it apart. Then, like me, you'll have a brand new paperweight. Nah, I'm just kidding, you might get lucky like me.

(So, juice and electricity CAN get along.)

Finally... TRANSFORMERS: SEE IT.

That is all. Thank you.
